Work…work…work
I spent the weekend with my nose buried in rewrites for Deadly Embrace, polishing and tweaking it to get it ready for a trip to New York to my agent. I wrote two synopses for this book and will spend the next couple of days trying to figure out which plot line is stronger and makes a better story. I wish I could just flip a coin to decide, but that’s not how it works. Hopefully the best resolution is some sort of a combination of them both.Â
As many of you know, this story has been rattling around in my brain for a long, long — well actually a loooooooong, loooooooong time, but it’s one that I really believe in. Every time I hear my sister Faith and her husband talk about their personal experience with Deer Woman, it gives me the shivers.  I plan to put some of their story in the book — it’s too darned scary not to. The book is set in Oklahoma and there are many, many stories that can be heard around the campfires at powwow time about strange happenings in Indian country.Â
Ugh…synopses…I hate them!!!Â
