Yup…It’s Me Again

Once again I must apologize for not keeping my journal updated.  I had another stay in the hospital in May but have been doing okay and enjoying the rest of the summer.  There are a few other health problems that need to be worked out and I won’t bore you with my aches, pains and excursions to all sorts of doctors.  Let’s just say that there are ups and downs and right now I’m planning on there only being “ups.”

A couple of weeks ago I received a phone call from my wonderful agent and she cracked the whip and yup…I’m back at work on a new book and will hopefully have some good news to share in a little while.  This book is completely different from anything I’ve ever worked on before – there’s nothing about Indians and it’s not a time travel or suspense.  It’s a story about a young woman’s journey in self discovery and a handsome hero’s goal to succeed in finding the life he’s always wanted.  I want people who read the book to laugh, cry, fall in love with the characters and when they finish reading, feel that they had a good time.  Some of you have already heard me talk about the book or have seen posts or journal entries where I’ve written about it, but after having to take some time off to deal with health issues, I’m finally feeling that Delicious is coming together the way it is supposed to.  I’ll keep you posted on the progress.

In the meantime, if you’re looking for some wonderful books to read.  Please let me recommend a few.  My friend Sandy James has a fabulous romance series called “Damaged Heroes” with BookStrand that is available both in e-book format or POD (print on demand).  Her books have been receiving well earned super reviews and winning one award after another.  Please look for Murphy’s Law. Free Falling, All the Right Reasons and Faith of the Heart.  Also look for her darling contemporary, Turning Thirty-Twelve, another fabulous award winner.  You can order from Amazon.com or go directly to BookStrand.   Check out her website, I have it listed (Sandy James) on my Links page.

I hope you’re all enjoying your summer.  I’ve been doing a lot of reading and my most favorite book so far is Susan Elizabeth Phillips’ Natural Born Charmer.  Give it read — she’ll make you laugh and you’ll fall in love with a headless beaver.  :>)

Oh my stars! How sweet you are to say so many nice things about my books!! What you didn’t say is that you’ve been my mentor for many years, and the reason my books receive all those great reviews and awards is because you’ve taught me well!! :-)
